You can fish in the large creek that meanders through our property or you can find a great fishing hole in one of the many creeks and rivers in our neck of the woods. You can also take a Guided Fishing Trip with a local professional Outfitter. There are both Wade Trips and Float Trips available with experience Guides to put you on the fish. We will be gad to refer you to a local Outfitter that will provide the Fishing Adventure you are looking for.

Hiking Adventures

Hiking adventures are abundant in our area of the Blue Ridge Mountains. There are scenic trails of all experience levels. Whether you are looking for an easy, moderate or strenuous hiking experience, the choices are numerous. Waterfalls, long range views and beautiful wooded trails await you. We will be glad to point you in the right direction. We will be glad to point you in the right direction based on your experience level. We have some really good suggestions. One would be Buffalo Mountain with its high elevations and wind-exposed openings at the Summit. Then there is Devil’s Den Nature which is a 600 year old cave formation on the side of a mountain with much of the 280 acre preserve situated atop the mountain crest. Another of our favorite hiking areas is the Rocky Knob/Rock Castle Gorge Trails with the 1500 foot ravine known as Rock Castle Gorge being the focal point of the trail. They are all within 30 miles of our Resort. Upon check in, ask us for any other information needed.

River Adventures

There are several nearby rivers offering some great paddling experiences in still water, flowing water and mild white water. You can bring your own canoe or kayak or you can rent one from a local Outfitter, who can also offer you a Guided River Adventure Trip for your enjoyment. Tell us your choice of water, and we will be glad to refer you to the right Outfitter offering what you are looking for.
